How the Heart of Individualism Can Help You Build a Stronger Character

The Importance of Individualism

If you wish to have a stronger character, you must cultivate your individuality. This is because if you don’t have the heart of individualism, you will always behave like everyone else, which means that you have a lack of character. If you don’t cultivate your individuality, you will never have the courage to be different: You will be destined to be a mediocrity. You need to have the courage to be different, bring your true color to the light, and become who you truly are all the time. Otherwise, you will feel unhappy and depressed for the rest of your life: your life will be unfulfilled and unsatisfied. In short, if you want to be true to yourself and shower your uniqueness on the world to enjoy your life, you must build a stronger character. In order to have a strong character, you must cultivate your individuality.

As a matter of fact, I wrote the trilogy Song of Friendship, which champions individualism. These books show how cultivating your individuality can help you develop a stronger character, protect you from mediocrity, help you stay away from the herd, give you confidence, and give you the courage to walk your own path to fulfill your life.

I absolutely believe that we have only one obligation to fulfill: We should realize who we truly are. Everyone has his own uniqueness, so one should discover his unique being and respect his individuality – that will help you have a stronger character. I have always thought that if everyone starts trying to perceive what he really wants to do for the rest of his life and starts living his life according to his individuality, the world will become a better place to live, and people will become happier. We cannot change a big thing immediately, but we can start changing a small thing. Therefore, when one begins acting who he truly is according to his heart’s desire, he will definitely be happier every day. His happy soul will influence his neighbors and so on and so forth. It will be contagious. Eventually, this single individual happy soul will become a bunch of collective happy souls around the world, and then the world will become a happy place. Individuality is the starting point.

So, what are you waiting for? Start cultivating your individuality to build a stronger character so that you can feel happy and confident to enjoy your life every single day.

Enjoy Being Alone

You need to feel okay with being alone and ought to be able to enjoy being on your own way so that you can achieve your dreams and goals. All great ideas and works have been conceived and created by people who have the ability to enjoy being alone. Indeed, all great ideas and works were conceived and created while people were alone. In order to enjoy being alone and be fine with your own company all the time, you must build a stronger character.

In order to build a stronger character, you must cultivate your individuality. What you have to do in the very first place to build a stronger character is stay away from a herd. You must stop trying to be like everyone else; you must start becoming who you truly are all the time. And most importantly, you must have the courage to bring your uniqueness to light. You should not give any shit to what other people think of you; you ought to focus on what you think of yourself. In doing so, you will have the courage to be different and start feeling good about your own company. And then, you will begin to enjoy having alone time to focus on your dream, goal, and mission. Eventually, you will have a stronger character to be bulletproofed from other people’s opinions and unlock the courage to walk on your private destiny relentlessly.

You had better remember that you are a freeman! Any organizational groups do not improve you as a human being; on the contrary, they ruin your individuality, piece by piece. You had better prefer solo performances and sing your own music even if you sing a little key off.

Withal, you had better cultivate your individuality so that you have a stronger character to enjoy being alone for following your heart and pursuing your dreams, come hell or high water.

Celebrate Your Individuality

As I mentioned before – having a heart of individualism will help you build a stronger character. If you have a firm character, you can enjoy being alone to focus on improving yourself daily and doing what you must do to achieve your goals. If you have a heart of individualism, you will have the courage to be different, chase your dreams, and march on your own unique path with joy. So why not celebrate your individuality to the heavens?

You can be different from everyone else anytime you want if you have a heart of individualism. You must disregard how people see you when you start bringing your true color to light – if you earnestly want to see your true potential and infinite possibilities. You must cultivate your individuality every single day to have a strong character, which will unlock the courage to walk on your private destiny relentlessly. Life is only a one-time journey, so why don’t you enjoy your life to the fullest by showing your uniqueness to the world?

Dance to Dreams: Making a Right Choice depicts how celebrating and embracing a heart of individualism will help you build a stronger character and lead you to a satisfied and fulfilled life. Featuring no shortage of colorful anecdotes, poignant personal reflections, and scathing critiques of what the author views as a dehumanizing and controlling Japanese culture, this literary fiction adventure challenges readers to break out of their self-limiting beliefs and stop making sacrifices that leave them feeling unhappy and unfulfilled.

Subsequently, when you have a definite goal and know your mission in your life clearly, you feel alive every single day. You will wake up with singing every morning, for you have to accomplish many daily tasks. You will have self-satisfaction at the end of each day since you are doing what your heart desires. He who has a definite goal is not influenced and destructed easily by others, for he is concentrated on his goal and is drawn by his goal. However, only a few people are strong enough to pursue their goals relentlessly nowadays. And lamentably, only a few people have the strong character to ultimately be drowned by their goals. But I have met a few people in my life who are like stars who travel one defined path; no wind reaches them, and they have their guide and path within themselves. Some of them are my best friends.

Hermann Hesse brilliantly pointed out the importance of listening to one’s inner voice and being drawn by one’s goal:

Both thought and the senses were fine things, behind both of them lay hidden the last meaning; it was worthwhile listening to them both, to play with both, neither nor overrate either of them, but to listen intently to both voices. He would only strive after whatever the inward voice commanded him, not tarry anywhere but where the voice advised him. Why did Gotama once sit down beneath the bo tree in his greatest hour when he received enlightenment? He has heard a voice, a voice in his own heart which commanded him to seek rest under this tree, and he had not taken recourse to mortification of the flesh, sacrifices, bathings or payers, eating or drinking, sleeping or dreaming; he had listened to the voice. To obey no other external command, only the voice, to be prepared – that was good, that was necessary. Nothing else was necessary.

Listen, Kamala, when you throw a stone into the water, it finds the quickest way to the bottom of the water. It is the same when Siddhartha has an aim, a goal. Siddhartha does nothing; he waits, he thinks, he fasts, but he goes through the affairs of the world like the stone through the water, without doing anything, without bestirring himself; he is drawn and lets himself fall. He is drawn by his goal, for he does not allow anything to enter his mind which opposes his goal. That is what Siddhartha learned from the Samanas. It is what fools call magic and what they think is caused by demons. Nothing is caused by demons; there are no demons. Everyone can perform magic, everyone can reach his goal, if he can think, wait and fast.

Once he said to her: “You are like me; you are different from other people. You are Kamala and no one else, and within you there is a stillness and sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself, just as I can. Few people have that capacity and yet everyone could have it.”

“Not all people are clever,” said Kamala.

“It has nothing to do with that, Kamala,” said Siddhartha. “Kamaswami is just clever as I am and yet he has no sanctuary. Others have it who are only children in understanding. Most people, Kamala, are like a falling leaf that drifts and turns in the air, flutters and falls to the ground. But a few others are like stars which travel one defined path: no wind reaches them, they have within themselves their guide and path. Among all the wise men, of whom I knew many, there was one who was perfect in this respect. I can never forget him. He is Gotama, the Illustrious One, who preaches this gospel. Thousands of young men hear his teachings everyday and follow his instructions every hour, but they are all falling leaves; they have not the wisdom and guide within themselves.”

Today, I would like to think of only one man whom I respect so much because he has been like a shining star which travels one defined path and has been immersed in his goal in his entire life. Today, I would like to celebrate only one man, a lone individual who has been utterly himself and worshipped for a heart of individualism throughout his entire life. I would like to celebrate only one man because he is totally unique and has absolutely nothing in common with anyone else: Myself. Today, I will sing a celebrated song upon that which I am. I hope that you will do the same to celebrate your uniqueness and individuality today.
