We had a magnificent time in China even though the temperature was constantly below ten, and a sharp blast of wind constantly blew on our faces. We were almost frozen to death, but nobody was dejected by the severe weather. No sir, nobody was able to stop us; we were marching on Beijing streets determinedly like a Spartan. A bitter window was menacingly cutting our faces, but we marched on; nose water was continually pouring over our mouths, but we marched on; our fingers were frostbitten, but we marched on. Leticia was constantly singing old Mexican song in order to encourage us, “Everybody loves Jamaica, la-la-la-la-la….”
To start with, we marched up Great Wall. Notwithstanding the weather was malicious, we chose to marched up the longer way. We bought a Russian hut to protect ourselves and started marching up Great Wall. At the top of it, we bought a certificate which proved that we conquered mighty Great Wall despite of the bitter weather. We continued marching on for two days. We marched on: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, Ming Tombs, National Stadium, and Beijing Hutongs. In the evening, we attended Beijing Opera to see Chinese traditional shows.
